This infrastructure project will produce 3000 MT/year of PCS initially and will subsequently scale to 5000 MTY. PCS is used as a feedstock to manufacture Photo-Voltaic (PV) cells that are the most widely used in the creation of solar energy. PCS is supply constrained and all indications are that the burgeoning solar energy demand driven by environmental concerns and underpinned by ever-rising oil prices, will continue to outpace the feedstock production. Currently, the spot price of PCS is $300 per kg and long term contract pricing is ranging at $80-120 per kg. Slated to be fully operational in 2011, Zoom is finalizing the site and completing the full feasibility. ZOOM Diversified Inc.
Zoom is also embarked concurrently on plans to make world class high efficiency solar cells with a targeted annual production equivalent to 500MW of power. This is becoming more feasible with the likelihood that Zoom’s potential site will have the plant and utilities substantially in place. It will enable a rapid and cost-effective operational status for the capability. ZOOM Diversified Inc.
The final phase will be the manufacture of solar modules that will output at full capacity, 700MW of solar power generation annually. ZOOM Diversified Inc.
